I understand that I am not renting a vehicle from a business, I am borrowing from a friend.
I will return the vehicle with a full tank of gas, in the condition I received it.
Returning the vehicle dusty, dirty and slightly sandy is no problem. I agree to pay all additional cleaning fees should I return the vehicle in a condition that requires extra time or services not included in a normal, basic car wash.
Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle at any time.
Pets are not permitted in the vehicle at any time unless approved by Cody in advance.
I agree to drive only on established roads. Off-roading and driving on the beach are not permitted.
I agree to drive only in the local areas of La Ventana, El Sargento, Los Planes, Playa Turquesa and Ensenada de Muertos. I will obtain prior authorization from Cody if I travel outside of these areas.
I agree to drive cautiously, safely and care for the vehicle. I understand that repairs are time-consuming, and costly, and I will do my best to avoid any unnecessary wear.
I agree to follow all local, state and federal laws while operating the vehicle.
I will not drive drunk or under the influence of any other substance that may impair my ability to drive safely.
I understaqnd that the vehicle carries liability insurance only, which provides minimal coverage to other people’s vehicles and property as required by Mexican law. I agree to be responsible for all deductibles and any amounts not covered by the insurance policy.
I agree that I will be 100% responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement of the vehicle. This includes theft and partial theft, as well as any damage to the interior and/or exterior of the vehicle. Repairs will be performed by the provider of Cody’s choice. Cody will make all efforts to repair the vehicle economically, with as little cost as possible. I agree to reimburse Cody via Venmo or bank transfer within 10 days of the completion of any necessary repairs.
I agree that I will be 100% responsible for the cost of replacement of the vehicle in the case that I damage the vehicle to the extent that repairs are more costly than replacement. I will reimburse Cody via Venmo or bank transfer within 14 days of the irreparable damage to the vehicle. The cost of the vehicle will be determined by the average Kelley Blue Book value at zip code 81601, “My Car’s Value”, plus 20%, to reflect higher vehicle prices in BCS.
I agree that I will be responsible for any charges associated with towing a damaged vehicle.
I hereby agree to the use of the vehicle in good faith as a friend.
Cody hereby agrees to lend the vehicle in good faith as a friend.
